Lyle & Scott X Stuarts of London

This latest collaboration with Stuarts of London pays tribute to our shared heritage through a collection of Italian-made lambswool jumpers, merino wool jumpers and knitted polo shirts.

Who are Stuarts of London?

Stuarts of London opened in London’s Shepherd’s Bush in 1967 and became hugely popular in the 1980s. Football fans from all over the country would visit the area to watch their teams play Queens Park Rangers and visit Stuarts before heading to the game.

Stuarts’ collection of brands, including ourselves, made it London’s go-to shop for men with a penchant for high-quality clothing and knitwear. Football fans in particular would often be seen queuing out of the door on match days to get their hands on the latest Stuarts had to offer.

Why did we collaborate?

Over the years, we have built a long-lasting relationship with Stuarts, which began with them stocking our clothes back in the day, and led to our first collaboration with them last year.

Our second collaboration was borne out of our shared history with Stuarts – two iconic brands in British menswear who share a passion for premium men’s clothing and knitwear. This isn’t just a collaboration, it’s a passion project between two fashion institutions with long and proud histories of dressing men in high-quality clothing.

What to expect from the collaboration?

Our collaboration features lambswool jumpers crafted in Italy with the utmost care – resulting in timeless pieces that will remain comfortable and wearable for years to come.

This premium knitwear is naturally nostalgic, and the patterns used only accentuate this further. As both ourselves and Stuarts have long histories in British fashion, it makes sense that we celebrate this connection with classic argyle patterns as a nod to our native Scotland.

The exclusive collection will release in two capsules, with the made in Italy lambswool jumpers releasing today, and the merino wool jumpers and polo shirts following on Friday 17th December.

It’s not just the clothing that’s been carefully considered in this collaboration, but the packaging too. Purchasing a piece of premium clothing should mean the presentation and service are high-quality – Stuarts pride themselves on delivering exactly this in-store, so it only makes sense to provide the same standard online.

To reflect the quality of the pieces, the lambswool jumpers are packaged in branded boxes, which feature argyle tissue paper and dual-branded notes to buyers.
