Lyle & Scott x Lovers FC. Drop Two.

Football shirts as knitwear. That’s exactly where we’re going.

Lyle & Scott and Lovers FC return with the second drop of their sold-out collaboration, 'Memories are Made'. This time, the pitch side poetry shifts into seasonal knitwear: lambswool jumpers and cotton polos inspired by some of football’s most iconic kits. Think Juventus. Think Ajax. Think Belgium, reimagined through a lens of casuals culture and crafted for today.

What began as a love letter to the terraces has grown into a full-blown affair with football heritage. At the heart of it all is Neal Heard, author, consultant, and lifelong collector of the game’s greatest designs. Heard’s passion runs deep. "We were mad on our Lyle & Scott knitwear," he says of the 80s casuals’ movement. "So, when I had the idea of turning classic kits into knits, I thought: go straight to the source."

The source being us. With a Royal Warrant in knitwear and a legacy worn proudly on terraces across Europe, Lyle & Scott brings the detail, the finish, and the heritage fit. Drop two pushes things forward, with 10 pieces built to bridge the gap between streetwear, sport, and style. The collection leans into a finer gauge knit for that authentic football shirt feel, but the weight, the handle, the quality? All elevated.

“Each piece in the collection tells a story. There’s the red and white of Ajax. The black and white stripes of Juve. The geometric zig-zags of Belgium’s most flamboyant era. These are tributes, yes, but they’re not replicas. They’re reinventions. A modern expression of nostalgia. A knitwear remix of moments that still give you goosebumps.”

Campaign imagery sees the pieces worn in coastal cages and misty British landscapes. It’s classic football styling but remixed, raw, unfiltered, and real. This time, we invited This Fan Girl’s Amy Drucquer and her community into the fold. The result? A new, inclusive energy. "We loved how these classic designs were reformatted to create something playful and rebellious," says Drucquer. "It rewrites the rules."

And that’s exactly the point. This isn’t about licensed nostalgia or textbook throwbacks. It’s about wearing your memories in new ways. Reclaiming football fashion for whoever wants to wear it. The game has changed. The crowd has changed. And the kit? That had to change too.

Lyle & Scott x Lovers FC. Drop Two. Because memories aren’t just made. They’re remade.
