We are a men’s fashion brand and combine this with a solid authority and presence within the golfing sector with sales which have grown from £10m in 2000 to £30m in 2013.

Our routes to market include wholesaling to key accounts in the UK, Eire, Sweden and the rest of Europe through a combination of direct sales, agents and distributors and licensing into Japan. We sell direct to the end consumer and are eCommerce retailers via our own consumer website to over 50 countries worldwide. We are looking for an exceptional Key Account Manager to join our profitable growing business who will be responsible for managing some of our largest accounts.

The role:
  • Strategic key account management with responsibility for growth plans and execution, business terms and performance reviews, the selling process and gross-to-net management
  • Deliver sustainable profitable growth for the Lyle and Scott wholesale business and ensure that all accounts maximise commercial opportunities
  • Setting the standards of the Lyle and Scott Vintage collection, driving a premium experience across all channels; on line and retail
  • Support the launch of new business initiatives and the potential for new routes to consumer, including direct to consumer channels

Commercial /Financial:
  • Complete sales accountability to achieve sustainable profitable growth of the Lyle and Scott business in line with business targets
  • Ensure that the brand remains future proofed for ongoing commercial success
  • Setting targets internally and externally whilst working with our finance business partner in identifying opportunities
  • Lead on seasonal strategic analysis and business profiling for all strategic key accounts
  • Work with Sales Managers in identifying and setting KPI’s
  • Annual, seasonal and monthly forecasting
  • Full P&L Management
Customer:
  • Lead the development and implementation of the Lyle and Scott strategic plan for each account, ensuring that the intent to maximise commercial potential is always front of mind
  • Assess each accounts market potential and develop strategies to expand their Lyle and Scott business within each territory
  • Work with all accounts to ensure a well-rounded, commercial merchandise assortment, providing best in class examples and guidelines
  • Regular visits to market to support customers in visual merchandising whilst identifying opportunities for the brand and retailer
  • Initiating and deliver staff training as required to key customers/locations
  • Store and space planning
  • Discuss and negotiate customer budget plans
  • Present collections to customers and hold seasonal business reviews
  • International travel to attend workshops or trade shows

We are looking for a talented Senior Menswear Designer who will push design, innovation and creativity each season for Lyle & Scott. You will be responsible to ensure that each collection embodies the established DNA in terms of quality and aesthetic, whilst keeping the customer and brand adjacencies at the centre of decisions.

You will support the Head of Design to set the overall seasonal direction primarily for all menswear collections; non-sports collections; Vintage, Casuals, Archive, Black Eagle, Footwear & Accessories.

Summary:
  • Support the Head of design in establishing the theme and creative direction for the menswear collections each season
  • Responsible to meet the key milestones in the product development critical path, both seasonally and overall company path
  • To ensure that product has a good balance of creativity vs. commerciality.
  • To sign off all licensed ranges that crossover with menswear, ensuring that brand DNA is retained
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Lyle & Scott customer
  • Continuously research and analyse the different customer age groups and customer types to ensure that the ranges designed meet the customer needs
  • Identify and highlight any emerging trend opportunities
  • Work closely with other internal teams to gain meaningful customer feedback and product development
  • Develop accurate menswear line plans for all ranges
  • Take responsibility to run the menswear critical path from beginning to end
  • Ensure that Lyle & Scott are progressive and innovative in all stages of menswear design; from research to development
Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years working within garment design
  • Experience in managing commercial range development
  • Extensive knowledge and interest in menswear
  • Extensive knowledge of the design and manufacturing process from start to finish
