Fashion, Art & Football Collide with Louis Bever for Lyle & Scott

Grassroots football doesn’t get much love. It gets grit, grit by the tonne, but not love, not the kind reserved for stadium lights and multimillion contracts. That’s where we come in.

As we enter season two of our Kits for Clubs initiative, Lyle & Scott doubles down on its support for the lifeblood of the game: the communities, the pub teams, the late-night five-a-siders. No scouts. No sponsors. Just the purest expression of football.

Shot through the evocative lens of photographer Louis Bever, our new season campaign reimagines the pitch as something otherworldly, almost poetic. Think early evening sun, forests thick with bluebells, and football shirts that look like they were made to be painted, not worn. A mash-up of Gainsborough grandeur and a Tuesday night away game in the rain.

This isn't about sportswear in the traditional sense. The campaign stars teams like Soulseek FC, Top Deck FC, and Under The Radar FC, three sides that understand what football really means today. These aren't just players. They're storytellers, grafters, and believers. They're people who lace up to escape, to belong, to win something more meaningful than points.

Our design studio has dialled things up a notch for 2024/25. From long-sleeve throwbacks with bold 90s flair to geometric collared kits with fresh colour-blocking, the new drops wear our history with pride. You’ll find our eagle printed into the chest, always, but look closer and there’s more: anniversary detailing, woven trims, and nods to our working-class roots.

“We've partnered with Sports Hub Group and Kosmico FC to ensure everything from customisation to distribution is seamless. These aren’t off-the-rack kits. They’re bespoke uniforms for clubs who deserve to look and feel like champions, even if the pitch is a patch of grass behind the pub.”

But Kits for Clubs is bigger than the shirts. It’s about legacy. It’s about putting money where your mouth is. Because when we say we care about the game, we mean every level. Our ambition? To give away tens of thousands of kits, across every continent, to any team that needs one, free of charge.

Football might be for everyone, but not everyone gets to play it properly. This is our way of changing that. One club at a time. One shirt at a time.
