FLY NOWHERE:
A Surreal Walk Through Scotland's Past and Future
This season we join forces with Fly Nowhere for a collection that brings together Scottish heritage and the global influence of football culture.
Fly Nowhere has been shifting the narrative of the game since 2014. Working from their New York base, they have collaborated with clubs such as PSG, AS Roma, Venezia FC and Manchester United, always approaching football culture from a fresh angle. Their work goes beyond product design. It creates myth. It builds worlds. It sets the tone before the trend.
Together we explore how football communities continue to shape the way people dress. The collection appears alongside the opening of the new Football Cafe Imports shop in New York and the launch of Clobber, a showcase that celebrates one hundred and fifty years of British style through the lens of football, music and subculture.
From early wool craft, which helped establish premium cashmere and lambswool, to the rise of terrace culture, visitors can explore a timeline of British menswear that begins on the street and travels across the world. This journey leads into the present day with a capsule created by Fly Nowhere for Lyle and Scott, bringing modern ideas to classic silhouettes.
This release draws from the Lyle and Scott archive and Fly Nowhere’s curatorial instinct. It nods to terracewear and casuals fashion but does not stop there. Classic shapes are rebuilt with considered materials and a new perspective. Football style reimagined through a global creative lens. Less about the match and more about the life around it.
The campaign was shot in Scotland by Glauco Canalis. It follows a dreamlike journey through Glasgow, open countryside and quiet historic ruins. The scenes feel familiar yet unreal, as if they could exist in the recent past or the near future. Characters move through these landscapes in plaid tracksuits, simple football jerseys and refined knitwear made from soft suedes and cashmere blends. Each piece carries subtle Fly Nowhere details and references to their Artificial Football Club.
The collaboration brings a fresh perspective to Lyle and Scott, honouring our past while looking toward the future of football inspired style.
