BOYS' HOODIES
Boys' hoodies get constant wear, so a cotton-rich fabric with some weight to it holds its shape and colour through repeated washing.
Pullover or zip
A pullover is warmer, since there is no opening down the front, and holds its shape better over time. A zip hoodie is easier to get on and off, easier over a school shirt, and works as a light jacket in spring.
Layering, sizing and care
A t-shirt or polo goes underneath and a jacket over the top, with joggers or shorts below. Sizing runs from ages 3 to 15; take the usual size. Wash cool and inside out. See boys' sweatshirts for the same weight without a hood.
