When to wear one
These work from spring through autumn, on days where the temperature is fine but the exposure is not. Over a t-shirt in spring, over a crew neck jumper in autumn, and under something heavier when it turns.
Features and care
An adjustable hem and cuffs stop wind getting underneath. Many styles pack into their own pocket. Half zip versions pull on over the head; full zip styles work more like a conventional jacket.
