How it differs
Knitted fabric has more weight and give than a woven piqué, so it hangs rather than holds. The collar sits softer and the placket lies flatter, which is why these read smarter than a standard polo.
Yarns and fit
Cotton knits work year-round; merino is finer and warmer for its weight, suiting autumn and winter. Ribbing, stripes and fair isle patterns give plain colours texture.
