A tracksuit is a matching track jacket and joggers, worn together as a set or separately.
Fabrics
Lighter tricot and shell fabrics lean retro and sit closer to the original references. Brushed and fleece-backed cotton is warmer and sits nearer to loungewear.
Fit and colour
Both halves should sit closer than you might expect, since a loose tracksuit loses the line that the piping and cuff detailing read against. A relaxed cut is a deliberate alternative. Navy, black and green carry the reference best, usually with a contrast stripe. Wash cool and avoid high heat. Under a puffer jacket the jacket doubles as a mid layer.
