Lyle & Scott began as a knitwear manufacturer in Hawick in 1874, and knitwear remains the foundation of the collection.

Shapes

A crew neck is the most versatile and works over a shirt or on its own. A v-neck sits flat over a collar, which is why golfers adopted it. A cardigan opens fully, and a quarter zip opens at the neck.

Yarns and care

Lambswool is warm with natural texture. Merino is finer and smoother, suiting layering. Cotton knits are lighter and cover spring and autumn. Wash wool cool on a wool cycle and dry flat. See knitted polos and golf jumpers.
